Analytics & Advisory
By day, this is what I do. If you arrived from my books — yes, it’s the same person. The day job has ten years of it behind it.
The problem I solve
Most small businesses don’t have a data problem. They have a visibility problem. The numbers exist — scattered across spreadsheet tabs, buried in someone’s inbox, or stale by the time anyone reads them. Decisions get made on gut feel because trusting the reports is harder than guessing.
I fix that.
The starter project
Data cleanup + a dashboard that updates itself.
- Flat fee — you know the cost before we begin. No hourly meters running.
- Two weeks, start to finish. Scoping call, cleanup, build, handover walkthrough.
- Yours to keep. Every file, every connection, documented. No hostage-taking: if you never call me again, your dashboard keeps working.
Flat fee: $1,200 CAD + HST (Scope confirmed before anything is signed — if it’s bigger than the flat fee, you’ll know the real number first.)
Who I work with
Small and growing businesses — especially e-commerce, retail, and service firms — whose sales, inventory, or client data has outgrown the original spreadsheets.
Indie authors and small presses. Sales across Amazon, Kobo, and Draft2Digital; ad spend you can’t attribute; newsletters with mysterious drop-offs. I run these numbers for my own books, so I know exactly where the bodies are buried.
Remote, by design. I’m based in Blind River, Ontario, and serve clients anywhere — Toronto-calibre data work, delivered wherever the wind takes me, without downtown-agency overhead.
What a decade of this looks like
Before going independent, I worked across finance, federal government programs, e-commerce, and infrastructure projects — cleaning messy datasets, fixing broken reporting pipelines, and building dashboards that teams actually used. Small-town manners, big-city standards.
The first question is free
Tell me what you’re tracking — or what you wish you were tracking — and I’ll tell you what I’d fix first. No obligation, no pitch deck. If I can help, we’ll talk scope. If I can’t, I’ll say so. Start below.
